Award Description

This award has been developed to recognize an outstanding individual from our industry for their lifetime contributions to the advancement of the construction industry and the greater community. The recipient will be someone who has made significant efforts to improving their industry and community by use of their time and expertise and has made a difference in the lives of others.

Criteria

This award will be presented to an individual who is or was a member of the association. The recipient will be approved by a vote of the MNECA Board of Directors.

1. An individual will be nominated from existing or past-member firms of the association who, during their career, served the Association in an exceptional way either by diligent work within the Association or by contributing to the stature of the construction industry by their general accomplishments.

2. Any representative of a member firm, in good standing, may propose a candidate by submitting a nomination that sets out the relevant particulars of the individual’s career and their noteworthy contributions.

3. Past-president’s and past board of directors, having retired from the Board, for at least three years, are eligible for nomination.

4. Previous nominees are eligible for renomination this year.

5. Past winners are ineligible.

6. The recipient of the award should have a strong impact on the industry and will have excelled at more than one of the following:

• • Have given exceptional leadership through their organizations or partner associations (e.g. General Contractor, Trade, Manufacturer and Supplier, Architect, Engineer, Developer, Financier, Planner, Government Official, etc.).
  • Were responsible for major construction growth to the area.
  • Were involved in changes for the betterment of the construction community in the Moncton-Northeast region.
  • Have pioneered specialized or innovative construction methods.
  • Made meaningful contributions to their community and / or our region by way of their time and/or resources.
